Garnik Cholakyan Becomes Under-23 Champion

Weightlifter Garnik Cholakyan (61 kg) has become the champion of Europe among athletes under 23 years old. At the competition taking place in Poland, Armenia has already secured 3 gold and 1 silver medals.

As previously reported, in the under-20 category at the same tournament, the current champion of the adults' European championship, Aleksandra Grigoryan (55 kg), successfully lifted 81 and 85 kg in the snatch. In the clean and jerk, she held 105 and 115 kg over her head.
