How Many People Used Yerevan's New Transport Payment System

Over a period of more than a month, 1,575,492 people have utilized Yerevan's new public transport payment system. This was reported by the municipality in response to a written inquiry from Sputnik Armenia, providing data from September 9 to October 17, 2024.

During this period, a total of 1,031,042 QR codes in paper format were sold. Additionally, 756,614 passengers paid their fares using Telcell Wallet, while another 187,133 tickets were purchased via terminals.

The municipality also pointed out that it is impossible to distinguish how many of the purchased paper and online tickets have been used in the metro, as these are also valid for payments on other modes of transport.
