Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Expected: Weather in Armenia

The temperature in Armenia will begin to decrease starting today. This information is provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.

"The temperature will gradually drop by 6-9 degrees from October 17 to 19," the statement reads.

Due to the influx of an active cyclone from the west, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in most regions of the republic on the night of October 17 into October 18. Due to heavy precipitation, a significant rise in the water levels of most rivers in the republic is anticipated on October 17-18.

Today, heavy rain is also expected in Yerevan. In the capital, daytime temperatures will fluctuate between 15-17 degrees Celsius, while at night, temperatures will range from 9-11 degrees Celsius.
