The State Revenue Committee Releases Statement on Electric Vehicles
The State Revenue Committee has announced that as of October 15, 2024, the remaining quota for the import of electric vehicles classified under EAEU tariff code 8703 80 000 2, which are subject to a 0% import duty rate, stands at 181 units.
It is worth noting that due to the prior exhaustion of the initially established quota of 7400 units, the Government of the Republic of Armenia, through decision No. 1589-N dated October 10, 2024, increased the import tariff quota by an additional 600 units. Following this decision, from October 11 to 14, a total of 419 electric vehicles were imported under the duty exemption.
For 2025, a 0% import duty rate is also set for electric vehicles, with a quota of 8000 units. To benefit from the 2025 quota, it will be necessary to submit and register the customs declaration or customs entry order for the imported vehicle starting from January 1, 2025.
