Why Armed Forces in Central Yerevan Detained People: Details
On the evening of July 11, law enforcement agencies detained citizens in central Yerevan and checked passing vehicles.
In an interview with "Armenian Time," the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that police have been conducting enhanced services in Yerevan. The authorities were searching for drugs, weapons, and ammunition.
"From 8:30 PM until midnight, there was a heightened police presence in the city center, and there are individuals who have been detained. Seven cases of drug possession were discovered, along with five cold weapons, two gas pistols, a counterfeit driver's license, and one wanted person was found," the Ministry of Internal Affairs detailed.
