Simonyan Becomes European Champion, Ishkhanyan Claims Silver at Youth Boxing Championship

In the finals of the European Youth Boxing Championships taking place in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armenia's Simonyan Simon and Syuzanna Ishkhanyan triumphed over their opponents. In the 48 kg weight category, Simonyan won by a score of 5:0 against Azerbaijani competitor Nikhat Gasimov, earning the title of European champion.

Ishkhanyan, competing in the 49 kg weight category, also secured a victory against her opponent, winning the title of European silver medalist, as announced by the Armenian Boxing Federation.

The final phase of the championship commenced at 15:00 Yerevan time. Gold medals will also be contested by Alex Petrosyan (63 kg), Samvel Siramargyan (75 kg), Artyom Stepanyan (66 kg), Arno Darchinyan (50 kg), Tigran Hovsepyan (54 kg), Martin Sahakyan (60 kg), and Hamest Afrikyan (48 kg).

The championship will conclude today.
