Video: Simon Simonian Defeats Azerbaijani Opponent and Wins First Gold at Youth Boxing Championship

In the final phase of the European Youth Boxing Championship taking place in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Simon Simonian from Armenia and Syuzanna Ishkhanyan have triumphed over their opponents. The 48 kg weight class competitor Simon Simonian won by a score of 5:0 against the Azerbaijani athlete Nihat Gasimov, becoming the European champion.

The 49 kg category fighter Syuzanna Ishkhanyan also secured a victory over her competitor, earning the title of European runner-up, as announced by the Armenian Boxing Federation.

The finals commenced at 15:00 Yerevan time. Gold medals will also be contested by Alexandr Petrosyan (63 kg), Samvel Siramargyan (75 kg), Artyom Stepanyan (66 kg), Arno Darshinyan (50 kg), Tigran Hovsepyan (54 kg), Martin Sahakyan (60 kg), and Hamlet Afrikyan (48 kg). The championship is set to conclude today.
