Death Toll in Fryazino Near Moscow Increases
The death toll from a fire in Fryazino, near Moscow, has risen to nine, according to Mash, referencing sources from the local emergency services.
According to reports from the television channel, two people fell from the windows of the sixth and seventh floors, while another seven succumbed to smoke inhalation or were burned alive. Currently, the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth floors of the building continue to burn. Rescuers are trying to contain the fires, with "Ka-32" helicopters participating in the firefighting efforts.
It is known that the premises of the building were primarily rented out. Preliminary data indicates that the cause of the fire in Fryazino was a violation of safety regulations. According to SHOT, the fire may have started in a room where searchlights were being assembled. It is possible that employees of the establishment forgot to turn off the equipment and left the workplace.
