Internet Gambling Lotteries to be Blocked
The newspaper "Fact" reports that the Ministry of Finance has submitted for public discussion a draft law on the procedure and cases for blocking internet gambling sites organized by foreign entities lacking the appropriate licenses under Armenian legislation. This draft was developed to ensure the implementation of the amendments to the laws on "Gambling, Internet Gambling, and Casinos" (Law HО-132-N) and "On Lotteries" (Law HО-133-N) signed on March 20, 2024.
The interagency commission responsible for identifying sites to be blocked will issue conclusions based on this law and the procedures established by the government. The expected outcome of the adoption of this draft is to define the cases, timelines, and procedures for blocking access to internet gambling and lottery activities organized by foreign entities without the necessary licenses as per Armenian regulations.
