The Conflict Continues: North Korea Sends Over 300 Balloons of Waste to South Korea
North Korea has sent over 300 balloons filled with trash to South Korea, according to a report by Yonhap news agency, referencing the Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea.
According to the agency, more than 80 of the balloons landed in South Korea. The remaining balloons reportedly did not reach the country. They contained various items, such as paper and plastic.
South Korean authorities stated that the neighboring country had sent nearly a thousand waste balloons to Seoul between May 28-29 and June 1-2, in response to the release of leaflets by South Korean activists. South Korea has fully suspended military agreements with North Korea and has announced its readiness to resume propaganda releases and military exercises at the border.
