I Am Not a Victim of Racism, I Am the Executioner of Racists: Vinicius
Three fans of the Spanish club Valencia have been sentenced to eight months in prison for racist insults directed at Real Madrid's Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior, AS reports. Additionally, they have been banned from entering football stadiums for the next three years.
Vinicius Junior commented on the court's decision: "I was asked to ignore those insults. Many said that the fight was pointless and that I should just play football. But I have always said that I am not a victim of racism; I am the executioner of racists," said the Black footballer.
Real Madrid and La Liga also welcomed the court’s ruling, marking the first of its kind in Spain regarding this offense.
