Gyumri Food Production Facility Suspended
The production activities of a culinary products factory owned by individual entrepreneur Gurgen Avagyan have been suspended in Gyumri, Shirak Province, based on a decision by the head of the Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia.
The decision was made following the results of inspections conducted at the facility, which revealed that the surfaces of the ceiling, floor, and walls were not made of water-resistant, washable, and disinfectable materials. Additionally, there was a possibility of particles falling and the working surfaces of tables in contact with food were made of non-absorbent materials. Internal windows did not have insect-proof nets, and the facility was not equipped with a restroom.
A deadline has been set for the rectification of the identified violations.
