Baljanaghis Given One Month to Vacate Home: Kiran Resident
Residents of Kiran village in the Tavush region of Armenia have been given one month to vacate their homes. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by a local resident named Artak.
“They have been given until June 24 to free the house in Baljanaghis, but the cadastral certificate is practically in hand. This cadastral certificate was issued during a leadership that is now surrendering lands to the Turks,” said the Kiran resident.
He assured that the government's proposed compensation is of no interest to any of the residents of Kiran; they only demand their homes and land back.
Commenting on the recent visit of the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan, Artak emphasized that he came to Kiran with ill intentions. “They come to increase the people's pain and suffering. He came and is giving the road to the Turks; where are they, and where are we? My house is a bit higher up, but what does that matter? They are all our sisters and brothers. The house of my relative and the house in Baljanaghis will be left to the Turks,” Artak stated.
He stressed that he will fight for his home and land and trusts no one.
