Nearly 90 Citizens Detained During Disobedience Protests

During the disobedience protests taking place in Yerevan, nearly 90 citizens have been detained. Notably, members of the "Tavush for the Fatherland" movement closed off around 20 streets in the capital starting at 08:00. The citizens are conducting acts of disobedience and awareness-raising.

According to the police, "88 citizens have been detained and taken to various police departments under Article 182 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Republic of Armenia," Auroranews reported.

Media footage shows police using force to detain numerous citizens, with some instances of them being thrown to the ground. It was previously reported that the special forces were using force to detain citizens who had blocked the streets.
