There Was Very Strong Pressure on Me from the CP
There was a lot of criticism and pressure from the CP regarding the need to remove everyone from the city hall and bring in new people. Former Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan stated this during his appearance on the LurjCast program.
He emphasized that he made the fewest changes among employees after the change of power, hoping for a change in people's mindset. 'I was probably the only one in power who came and said (during the first major meeting at the city hall) that specialists who worked during the previous administrations and were well-versed in their jobs do not necessarily think all day about doing something bad. I said the opposite; we need to change this mindset so that from now on, we all work for the benefit of the community. Every day I worked in that direction and got very good results,' Marutyan noted.
According to him, during his term, the city hall was an institution that did not experience any failures.
