Renovation of the Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir-Armenia State Border Highway
The M-3, inter-governmental highway from Armenia's state border to Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir is undergoing renovation on the segment from km 35+535 to km 39+500. This approximately 4 km stretch passes through the city of Ashtarak. It includes the streets of Yerevanyan and Aram Manukyan in the city of Ashtarak, as well as stopovers.
Currently, earthworks are being conducted in the specified area, drainage pipes are being installed, sidewalks are being constructed, and the road surface is being removed. Following this, a 10 cm thick sand-gravel layer, a 20 cm gravel base, coarse and fine asphalt concrete cover will be installed.
A retaining wall about 390 linear meters in length is being constructed on Aram Manukyan Street, and the road is being widened in this section. The completion of the construction works is scheduled by the end of this year. The renovation is being carried out using funds from Armenia's state budget.
