Opening of the Zangezur Corridor Will Increase Freight Traffic on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Line, Turkish Minister Says
The opening of the Zangezur Corridor will boost freight traffic on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, according to Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu. Speaking to TRT Haber, Uraloglu emphasized the potential for the corridor to enhance logistics in the region.
He also mentioned that there is an alternative route through Iran that could be considered. In addition, Uraloglu confirmed that the Turkish side has completed the construction of a 224-kilometer railway line connecting Nakhchivan and Kars.
