VIDEO. 94,609 Calls Made to the 1-03 Emergency Hotline
During the reporting period, the emergency medical service recorded 119 traffic accidents, resulting in injuries to 144 citizens and causing 3 fatalities. The total number of calls made was 30,935, which is an increase of 4,381 compared to last year. This information was presented today during a working consultation at the Yerevan city hall by Mayor Tigran Avinyan.
“From January 1 to January 31, the 1-03 hotline received 94,609 calls, of which 73,065 were connected immediately. The remainder were unable to connect on the first attempt, meaning that at that moment all operators were occupied. However, calls were connected on the second or, rarely, third attempt, which took just a few seconds. In total, there were 3,009 calls that did not connect at all during the month of January. A follow-up call revealed that 2,000 of these 3,009 were able to reach out using a different number. After your directive, we added one operator, which halved the number of missed calls. We added another two operators, and we had 6 to 8 calls that remained unanswered,” the officials informed the mayor.
