Of Course, We Are Monitoring All Information: Peskov
Russia's presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has stated that the Kremlin is closely monitoring the situation regarding Ukraine's funding. This information was reported by gazeta.ru.
A special EU summit will be held in Brussels on February 1, where the allocation of 50 billion euros to Ukraine will also be discussed.
“Of course, we are monitoring all information. We understand that Kyiv continues to have problems. The Collective West is also facing challenges. We will follow the decision-making process,” stated the Kremlin representative.
According to the British Financial Times, EU leaders will make one last attempt to persuade Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to agree to provide 50 billion euros in aid to Ukraine during the special meeting on February 1.
Politico reports that the EU is developing a Plan B to assist Ukraine while bypassing Hungary's veto. This plan involves increasing funding for the European Peace Facility during a new representative meeting if Orbán blocks the allocation of the 50 billion euro assistance package to Ukraine, aiming for an interim agreement between Brussels and Budapest.
