Doubts Persist That Our Decisions Come from Above: Chairman of the RTRC
Doubts have arisen regarding the independence of the Television and Radio Commission, with suggestions that decisions may, to some extent, come from above. This was stated today during a press conference by Tigran Hakobyan, the Chairman of the Television and Radio Commission.
“It is clear—whether you believe it or not is your right—but we make decisions independently. No organization in Armenia has ever predetermined our decisions or work. Of course, there have been attempts, and recently those attempts have diminished because everyone understands that, first, it is not effective, and second, it contradicts the values that our commission seeks to adopt,” Hakobyan noted.
