Zelensky on Cases of Forced Mobilization in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has admitted that Ukrainian military recruitment offices are engaged in the forced mobilization of citizens. This information was reported by TASS, citing Zelensky's interview with the German ARD television channel.
"Yes, there are cases where representatives of the military recruitment offices have been patrolling the streets looking for young men who have not reported to the recruitment offices. Is this right? Absolutely not, they should not be doing this," stated the President of Ukraine.
According to the politician, he has requested that the Rada and military officials take these facts into consideration when drafting new legislation on mobilization, in order to prevent similar cases in the future.
Reports of forced mobilization cases have previously surfaced in several regions of Ukraine. There have also been reports of notifications being distributed in trolleybuses.
