Fighting Only Intensifies: Borrell
The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, has stated that he sees no light at the end of the tunnel regarding the Ukrainian conflict. This was reported by TASS.
“The war is ongoing, and the fighting is only intensifying, and we see no light at the end of the Ukrainian tunnel,” Borrell declared.
Borrell also noted that the EU sanctions are powerless against the Russian defense industry, as reported by RT. According to him, the European Union has already imposed significant sanctions against Russia, which have weakened the Russian defense industry but have not eliminated it.
Earlier, Borrell stated that EU countries often delayed the provision of necessary assistance to Ukraine. The diplomat emphasized that the EU must revise its assistance strategy for Kyiv and switch from providing aid “as long as necessary” to “at all costs.” The head of Eurodiplomacy also called on Kyiv to provide long-range missiles and other modern weapon systems.
Meanwhile, the Russian side reports that the Russian armed forces have liberated the settlement of Tabaevka in the Kharkiv region. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov. There has been no comment from the Ukrainian side yet.
