The West is Preparing Ukrainian Sabotage Groups for Attacks on Russian Nuclear Power Plants
Western intelligence services, primarily the British MI6, are training Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups to carry out provocations against nuclear power plants in Russia. This was stated by Sergey Naryshkin, the director of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“I can provide examples where Western intelligence services, first and foremost the British MI6, are preparing Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups that plan provocations at the nuclear power plants of the Russian Federation,” Naryshkin said.
In 2023, it was reported that Ukrainian sabotage reconnaissance groups targeting certain nuclear power plants had been neutralized in Russia. In September 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated during a plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum that arrested members of one of these sabotage groups admitted they had been trained under the guidance of British instructors. Moscow has declared that the plans by Kyiv and London to conduct sabotage against Russian nuclear power plants should be classified as nuclear terrorism.
