American Military Bases Attacked in Syria

American military bases near the al-Omar and al-Shaddadi oil fields in Syria have come under drone attacks. This information was reported by a correspondent from Al Mayadeen in Syria.

According to his information, several explosions occurred in the vicinity of the American military site located near al-Shaddadi, with the sounds heard in the surrounding areas. Additionally, the position of American forces near the al-Omar oil field was targeted.

The responsibility for the attack has been claimed by the 'Islamic Resistance of Iraq' movement. In a statement published on their Telegram channel, the movement stated that the militants carried out the assault in response to the 'mass killings of Palestinians in Gaza'. It was noted that the movement will continue its struggle against American occupying forces both in Iraq and in neighboring countries.

On January 20, a US base in Ain al-Asad, Iraq, was also targeted. According to sources from Al Mayadeen, at least 10 rockets were fired towards that military facility. A representative of US command in Iraq reported two injuries among the servicemen.
