Houthis Attack American Vessel in Aden Gulf
The Houthis have struck the American Chem Ranger tanker in the Aden Gulf. This was reported by Al Masirah, citing Yemeni military sources.
The Houthis claim to have made a direct hit. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed the shelling, stating that no one was harmed.
The British maritime security company Ambrey reported that four drones approached the American tanker, which was operating under the Marshall Islands flag. The incident occurred 87 miles (140 km) southeast of Yemen's Al Mukalla port. One drone fell into the water, according to Reuters.
