Taron Chakhoyan on the News Regarding Emptying Meghri
The recent rumors about 'emptying' Meghri are false, baseless, and have no relation to reality. This was stated by Taron Chakhoyan, the Deputy Head of the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia, on his Facebook page.
"Maliciously fabricated news is being circulated by certain circles with the aim of discrediting the authorities, claiming that state structures are being closed in Meghri and that the government is preparing to hand over Meghri. Against the backdrop of these false rumors, I would like to note that a new customs point is being constructed in Meghri with €21 million in loan and grant funds. A model building for a police division will also be constructed in Meghri, which will serve as an example for other divisions. Additionally, the construction of a new morgue will commence with public funds this year in Meghri.
Note: The authorities can only hand over one thing – those spreading false rumors about 'emptying' Meghri can be handed over to public scrutiny," he wrote.
