26 Villages Evacuated in Kharkiv
The authorities of Kharkiv region have announced the commencement of mandatory evacuations from the communities of Kondrachev and Kurilov in the Kupiansk district. This has been reported by RIA Novosti, citing the statement from Governor Oleg Sinegubov.
“Considering the security situation, we are implementing mandatory evacuations of the population from the communities of Kondrachev and Kurilov in the Kupiansk district,” he stated.
Sinegubov clarified that a total of 26 villages within these communities are subject to evacuation. He noted that those evacuated will be provided with housing and other assistance funded by international humanitarian organizations.
According to local authorities, there are currently 3,043 residents in these areas, including 279 children. In December, it was reported that the population of 19 settlements in the Sumy region, which borders Russia, had been completely evacuated.
