VIDEO: Tbilisi Highway to Connect with Yeghvard Highway, 'Hayrenik' Cinema Transport Hub Not to Be Built

During the meeting of the Investment Committee, we approved the project to connect the Tbilisi Highway with the Yeghvard Highway. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this at today's government session.

“The technical and economic study will indicate which option we should pursue, as there is a bridge option, several versions of the bridge, and a non-bridge option. We are not necessarily introducing traffic flows into Yerevan and then thinking about how to manage those flows. For instance, we bring a truck coming from Dilijan to Artashat into Yerevan because there is no other option, and then we say, 'How do we successfully remove this truck from Yerevan to avoid congestion?' In the meantime, we have been considering and even announced the formation of various transport hubs in different parts of Yerevan. However, when we analyze it more deeply, we see that these transport hubs do not solve the problem, especially under conditions of increasing flow,” said Pashinyan.
