Arthur Hovhannisyan on Military Cooperation with Russia
Armenia continues to work within the framework of military cooperation with Russia. This was stated by Arthur Hovhannisyan, the Secretary of the 'Civil Contract' faction of the National Assembly, during parliamentary briefings while responding to a question about how Armenia envisions future military cooperation with Russia.
"We continue to work with our Russian partners, and in terms of security, we are moving towards a path of balancing. In this sense, we are working with all our partners based purely on the interests of the Republic of Armenia," he said.
Commenting on the statement by opposition MP Gagik Melkonyan that Armenia recently received a batch of weapons from Russia under previously signed agreements, Hovhannisyan advised reporters to contact the Ministry of Defense for further details.
