Aram Ghazaryan Appointed as Governor of Lori Province
The Governor of Lori Province has been appointed as Aram Ghazaryan. This decision was made during the Armenian government's meeting today.
According to the decision, "Guided by part 2 of Article 160 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and part 1 of Article 6 of the Law on Territorial Administration, the Government of the Republic of Armenia decides to appoint Aram Ghazaryan as the Governor of Lori Province."
According to press reports, Aram Ghazaryan has served as the police chief in three provinces of Armenia: Lori, Gegharkunik, and Shirak. Since June 2023, he was the General Director of Yerevan TPP LLC, operating under the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia.
It is noteworthy that on January 4, Aram Khachatryan was dismissed from the position of Governor of Lori Province. On January 3, the first working day, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Lori Province to familiarize himself with the progress of government projects. Pashinyan expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of construction works in the province and recorded numerous violations.
