Commander of Azerbaijan's Naval Forces Subkhan Bakirov Dismissed
As previously reported, on Friday, January 12, in accordance with a provision of the "Military Service Regulation," several officials of the Azerbaijani army have been transferred to the reserve and retired due to age.
Among those sent to the reserve is the commander of the Naval Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Vice Admiral Subkhan Bakirov.
Earlier, it was announced that the head of the National Defense University, Heydar Piriev, has been relieved of his duties, and the former commander of the land forces, Lieutenant General Enver Efendiyev, has been sent to the reserve.
By order of the president of the adversary country, Ilham Aliyev, Lieutenant General Hikmet Mirzayev has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Defense, as well as the commander of the land forces.
