David Khudatyan Appointed Governor of Armavir

The government has decided to appoint David Khudatyan as the Governor of Armavir during its meeting today.

David Khudatyan is the head of the consolidated community of Armavir and the president of the Territorial Council of the ruling Civil Contract party in Armavir.

According to media reports, the Armavir community council will elect Khudatyan's first deputy, Varsham Sargsyan, as the new leader in his place.

It is noteworthy that the former Governor of Armavir, Edward Hovhannisyan, was dismissed from office last week following Prime Minister Pashinyan's visit to the region and the revelation of the poor quality of a restroom at the renovated school in Aragats settlement.
