We Will Use All Our Forces to Completely Destroy South Korea: Kim Jong Un
The policy of confrontation with Pyongyang is suicidal for Seoul. In the event of military provocation, North Korea will not hesitate to use all its arsenal to destroy the Republic of Korea completely. This was stated by Kim Jong Un, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of North Korea, during a visit to defense industry enterprises. The information was reported by TASS.
"If the Republic of Korea attempts to use armed forces against our state or threatens our sovereignty and security, we will not hesitate to use all available means and forces to completely destroy the Republic of Korea," Kim's remarks were quoted by the Korean Central News Agency.
"As long as the ruling gangsters of the Republic of Korea do not recognize the folly of their 'suicidal policy' of confrontation with North Korea, our republic will continue its evident practical actions based on the principles of just struggle," Kim Jong Un added.
He noted that North Korea does not intend to 'unilaterally provoke' 'great events with its overwhelming power' on the Korean Peninsula, but also 'does not plan to avoid war.'
North Korea's coastal artillery conducted exercises on January 5, firing 192 shells at dummy targets in the waters off the South Korean islands of Yeonpyeongdo and Baengnyeongdo, but north of the Northern Limit Line, which Seoul considers the actual maritime boundary. In response, the armed forces of the Republic of Korea conducted similar exercises, firing about 400 shells. Seoul noted that the North Korean shells exploded in the buffer zone.
