There is no document in the legal field that states Artsakh is dissolved: David Galstyan
At the end of December, the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Samvel Shahramanyan, announced during a consultation with government members and deputies that there is no legal document in existence regarding the dissolution of Artsakh, suggesting that any such document has been annulled. This was stated by David Galstyan, the head of the 'Justice' faction in the National Assembly of Artsakh, in an interview with Tert.am.
"When Samvel Shahramanyan makes such a statement that there is no document in the legal field regarding the dissolution of Artsakh, this provides grounds to believe that yes, the so-called document no longer exists, has been annulled, and the Republic of Artsakh exists and operates independently of that paper," the Artsakh deputy speculated.
David Galstyan attended the consultation invited by Shahramanyan and stated he has not seen the alleged document to annul the decision to dissolve Artsakh, but insists that Artsakh has not been dissolved.
"From the very first day, we have said that this document is not a basis for the dissolution of Artsakh and its state institutions. Some people presented it as a document and, basing their arguments on it, claimed that Artsakh no longer exists. Unfortunately for those people, the Republic of Artsakh is functioning," he emphasized.
It should be noted that, according to media reports, Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan has signed a decision to annul the decree on the dissolution of Artsakh. According to the media, the decision was signed on December 10 and a copy was sent to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Tert.am attempted to clarify with Prime Minister’s spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan whether Nikol Pashinyan received Shahramanyan’s alleged decision to annul the decree on the dissolution of Artsakh. The Prime Minister’s spokesperson promised to provide information on the matter later.
