The US Has No More Funds to Support Ukraine, Says John Kirby
The United States has run out of funds to provide further support for Ukraine; new aid packages will require new funding approvals from Congress. This was stated by John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“The President has signed the last package for which we had funding. We need approval for additional funds in order to continue to provide support to Ukraine,” Kirby said.
He also noted that to date, the most recent aid package, signed by President Joe Biden on December 27, has not yet been fully delivered to Ukraine, which could take weeks.
