Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman on Turkish Minister's Statement Regarding the 'Zangezur Corridor'
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani addressed the statement of Turkey's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, regarding the 'Zangezur Corridor' during a press briefing. He emphasized that Iran has a clear stance on the current situation in the South Caucasus and on transit corridors.
"We are making significant efforts to establish peace, stability, and security in the countries of the region. We stress that the development of transit cooperation should not serve as a basis for geopolitical changes or violations of the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of countries," said Kanaani.
It is worth noting that Turkey's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, has announced that Turkey expects to complete the so-called 'Zangezur Corridor' project by 2029.
