US Sees No Basis for Blaming Israel for Terrorism in Iran, State Department Says
The US State Department has announced that Washington is not involved in the explosions that occurred in Iran. This was stated by Matthew Miller, spokesperson for the State Department, during a news briefing, as reported by TASS.
According to him, Washington also sees no grounds to hold Israel responsible for these explosions. He commented on the explosions that took place near a cemetery in Kerman.
"I want to address some irresponsible statements I've seen and say that, first and foremost, the United States is not involved in that. Any suggestion to the contrary is simply laughable. Second, we have no basis to suggest that Israel is involved in these explosions," Miller stated.
Earlier, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi had stated that the authors and organizers of the terrorism that occurred in Iran will be identified and punished. Those in Kerman are considered enemies of the nation.
He added that such terrorist attacks can never undermine the "iron will of the Iranian people" to defend Islamic ideals.
