The Key Issue in Russian-American Relations is the Lack of Dialogue: Excerpt from Kissinger's Latest Interview
Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger stated in a recent interview with Politico that the primary issue in Russian-American relations is the absence of dialogue between the countries, which leads to a misunderstanding of Russian thought processes in the U.S.
The publication notes that the interview with Kissinger took place on October 18, and it may be one of his last. News of Kissinger's passing emerged on November 29.
The former Secretary of State earned a reputation as one of the most influential political figures in the U.S., leaving a significant mark on the history of diplomacy.
“Right now, the biggest difficulty in our relations with Russia is that we have not heard what their mindset is currently, as there is no dialogue with Russia at all,” Kissinger stated in the interview.
