Spanish Prime Minister's Statement Leads to Israeli Foreign Ministry Summoning of Ambassador
Following Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez's remarks regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the ambassador of Spain has been summoned to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.
It is noted that the ambassador was called in after Sánchez expressed doubts about whether Israel is respecting international humanitarian law in the Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that he instructed Foreign Minister Eli Cohen to summon the Spanish ambassador.
