Gor Abrahamyan Addresses Rumors About Operational Meeting in Investigative Committee
The spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, Gor Abrahamyan, has denied reports circulating in the media about an operational meeting that allegedly took place at the Investigative Committee a few days ago. According to the rumors, all heads of the agency's departments attended this meeting, where they were presented with confidential lists containing the names of former village and city mayors, active representatives of political factions, as well as details of individuals involved in business.
Gor Abrahamyan stated, “I have not had the occasion to deny gossip and baseless accusations for a long time. Today, I saw in several online media references to the newspaper 'Fact,' using an old and widely known method that cites anonymous sources regarding an alleged operational meeting attended by the heads of all departments of the RA Investigative Committee. The report suggested that participants were handed over mysterious closed lists containing names of former village and city mayors, active representatives of political factions, as well as data on business people and that a 'papakan' was to be made out of these individuals and presented to the leadership of the Investigative Committee within a month. The article is also endowed with an equally intriguing title: 'The Case Proceeded.'
“According to the genre's rules, I am compelled to waste time denying such nonsense so that indifference from anyone does not get interpreted or commented upon as an indirect confirmation. No such meeting has been held at the Investigative Committee, nor could it have taken place. Therefore, the other absurdities attributed to this so-called meeting bear no relation to reality and cannot bear any,” he added.
It is surprising that some of our colleagues stubbornly refuse to abandon such outdated, clichéd, and long-decrypted manipulative tricks.”
