US Navy Destroyer Under Missile Attack in Arabian Sea
Two ballistic missiles were launched towards the American destroyer "Mason" from regions in Yemen controlled by Houthi factions during the night of November 27. This incident occurred while the destroyer was responding to a distress signal sent by the US Central Park tanker in the Gulf of Aden (Arabian Sea). According to reports from RBS referencing Central Command, the incident took place after the arrest of five militants who had seized the tanker.
"The missiles fell about ten nautical miles away from the ships in the Gulf of Aden. No damage or injuries were reported among the vessels during this incident," stated a message from the department on X.
