Making Abrupt Conclusions is Meaningless: CSTO Secretary General on Armenia's Absence from the Meeting
Armenia has been and remains an ally of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). This was stated by CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov to the TASS news agency.
"In my opinion, making abrupt conclusions in this situation is meaningless. Armenia has been and remains our ally. I believe that this says it all. As far as the CSTO Secretariat is aware, the reasons for the absence of the Armenian delegation were of a technical nature. In any case, this is an independent and sovereign state decision that no other state or organization can influence," he said.
The CSTO Secretary General added that the organization respects the Republic of Armenia's decision as a full-fledged member of the organization.
