Court Releases Verdict on Manvel Grigoryan and His Wife's Case
The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction has announced the verdict in the case of former head of the Yerevan City Military Committee (ECMC) Manvel Grigoryan and his wife Nazik Amiryan, where they were found guilty of several crimes under the Armenian Criminal Code.
Under the presidency of Mna Tsakan Martirosyan, the court found Manvel Grigoryan guilty on the charges brought against him, while Nazik Amiryan was sentenced to 6 years in prison, with a final sentence of 5 years, 11 months, and 27 days of imprisonment.
However, the court did not impose a prison sentence on Nazik Amiryan due to her status as a former combatant.
Upon the legal force of the verdict, approximately 1 billion 800 million Armenian drams will be seized from Manvel Grigoryan for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia's state budget, along with 8 vehicles. Additionally, around 8,000 units of goods, clothing, and medicines labeled as 'Soldier's Share' will be donated to the ECMC, while several tens of thousands of dollars worth of weapons and ammunition will be transferred to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
By the court's decision, the legal successor of the victim in this case, H. Torosyan, will receive a gas station located in Vagharshapat.
Nazik Amiryan will be liable to pay approximately 101 million 200 thousand Armenian drams, while her accounts and movable and immovable properties will remain under arrest until the execution of the verdict.
