Mushrooms Being Cultivated and Sold in the Basement of One of Ashtarak's Schools
The Ashtarak Division of the Police has received information regarding the cultivation and sale of mushrooms in the basement of one of the schools in Ashtarak city. This was reported by the Police Information Service.
The information was verified and confirmed. During an inspection carried out on November 17, it was revealed that the school's principal, with knowledge and permission, had allowed his son to modify and utilize the basement of the school's operational educational building for mushroom cultivation.
Seven metal platforms were installed, and 76 bags of mushroom substrate were secured on three of them. To ensure suitable conditions, air conditioners were installed in the basement, and a water supply network was set up. The school's electricity and water were illegally utilized for these purposes, causing significant damage to the state.
The documents have been forwarded to the Anti-Corruption Committee, where a criminal proceeding has been initiated. The circumstances are still being clarified.
