International Partners Promised €35 Million Support to Armenia Through ICRC
Armenia's international partners have promised to provide over €35 million in support through the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). This announcement was made during a press conference by the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Tigran Khachatryan.
According to Khachatryan, an additional €35 million will be allocated through other means. “Of this amount, €15 million will be directed to the government’s treasury account as budget support, while the remaining funds will be allocated by development agencies through their representations in Armenia to address the same needs or issues,” Khachatryan noted.
He also added that over the past two weeks, they have received more than 100 tons of humanitarian cargo from international partners, which is being distributed according to regional needs to meet the requirements of individuals forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
