Charles Michel and Ilham Aliyev Held a Phone Conversation

The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, held a phone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. He announced this on his page on X. "In anticipation of the Brussels meeting, I called President Aliyev and conveyed the EU's commitment to the Armenia-Azerbaijan relationship normalization process. I reaffirmed the necessity of mutual respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the need for progress on border delimitation. I also emphasized the importance of ensuring the rights and security of the Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh, including in the long-term perspective," he wrote.
