Khananian Comments on Erdogan's Statements
The spokesperson of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Khananian, commented today during a press briefing on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's recent statements regarding receiving positive signals from Iran about the "Zangezur Corridor."
“We agree to develop transportation routes in a way that guarantees the interests of all countries in the region. But at the same time, we emphasize that we reject any changes to international borders and are against any geopolitical changes in the region, and we have forwarded our position on this matter transparently and clearly,” stated Khananian.
“We welcome regional dialogue within the framework of the ‘3+3’ format and will continue consultations with other countries. We are ready to do everything possible for the resolution of the Caucasian issue,” added the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
