10 Billion Drams Allocated for Refugees in 2024 Budget, Finance Minister Says
The government has approved the draft of the 2024 state budget, which will be presented to the National Assembly.
According to Finance Minister Vahe Hakobyan, the budget is being established in a situation where there are tens of thousands of displaced individuals who need to be provided with basic care and dignified living conditions. He stated, “At this moment, without having a clear picture of the number of people wanting to move to Armenia, we have allocated a separate line in the budget for those displaced from Artsakh, where we have initially earmarked 10 billion drams. The size of this allocation will be increased as necessary in subsequent discussions of the budget.”
