‘How Can One Not Realize That This Circle of Agents Is Trying to End Armenia's Independence?’ – Konyan
The head of the Civil Contract faction in the Armenian National Assembly, Hayk Konyan, addressed the recent situation surrounding Armenia and Artsakh on his Facebook page, stating:
“The sequence of events of a monstrous plan. On September 12, the leader of Serge Sargsyan’s faction in the National Assembly threatens that blood will be spilled, then says they are waiting for the signal to hear. On September 19, the signal is given with a barrage from Azerbaijani artillery. Azerbaijan attacks Artsakh. On September 20, a ceasefire agreement is reached, in which the president of the Artsakh parliament from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation is an active participant. Armenia is not involved in this agreement in any way.
In Stepanakert, people are gathered at the airport, having been promised beforehand that they will go to Armenia, but then they are told that Armenia is not letting them leave Artsakh. A crowd of people is filmed and distributed, blaming the Armenian authorities. They try to demonize the Armenian authorities, which are already being attacked in Yerevan. They are legitimizing the attack. As soon as the signal is given, the Dashnaks, Kocharian-Sargsyan & Co. take to the streets in Yerevan, accusing the Armenian government of surrendering Artsakh and not allowing people to enter Armenia. They are exploiting the emotions of the people and calling for a coup.
Margarita Simonyan and Vladimir Solovyov call on the Armenian population to join the opposition rallies, while State Duma deputy Yevgeny Fyodorov stated yesterday that Russia will absorb Armenia and turn it into a Russian province.
After all this, explain how one cannot realize that this circle of agents is trying to end Armenia's independence and statehood. Armenia will remain standing. Be assured.”
