Khanumyan on Reports of Massacre of Residents in Taghavard and Nearby Village
Reports regarding the alleged massacre of residents in the Taghavard community in the Martuni region of Artsakh are not true.
In an interview with #CivilNetCheck, former Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Hayk Khanumyan stated that the region is under complete blockade, but they have successfully reached out to residents of Taghavard, who confirmed that they are doing well.
Residents mentioned that during the Azerbaijani attack, they were forced to leave the village and settle in nearby communities; however, some have returned to Taghavard after a ceasefire.
“The Martuni region is entirely isolated, and there are connectivity issues. Therefore, it is not appropriate to spread panic about various settlements in the absence of communication,” Khanumyan wrote.
